Michigan and Jamaica Exchange

Although Michigan and Jamaica are 1750 miles (2800 km) apart, there are interesting animals living in both places.  You can use this website to learn more about the animals in your own backyard as well as those living far away.  If you have an email address, you can even make new friends by signing up for a pen pal!

  Project Description

We are scientists who live and work in Michigan, USA at Michigan State University.  Part of our research involves studying the behavior of Jamaican lizards.  We visit Jamaica to do field work with these animals and are partners in a project with Jamaican libraries to share resources and information between our communities.
