These turtles live in freshwater streams and ponds.  They eat mostly fruit.

Jamaican Giant Anole (Anolis garmani)

These green lizards are called large green lizards in Jamaica.  They are very big and are found on large trees throughout Jamaican forests.  They eat insects, other lizards, and small frogs.

  Jamican Brown Anole (Anolis lineatopus)

These brown lizards are called common lizards in Jamaica.  They live in forests, open habitats, and even houses!  They eat insects, other small lizards, and some small frogs.

Graham's Anole (Anolis grahami)

These lizards are bluish grey and are called green lizards in Jamaica.  They live in forests and open habitats throughout  Jamaica.   They eat insects, other small lizards, and some small frogs.  This lizard has a tag on its tail for scientists to identify it.

  The Croaking Lizard (Aristelliger praesignis)

These lizards are geckos and they live in many different habitats around Jamaica.  They are active at night and eat insects.  They make croaking calls to attract mates.

bullet There are 7 snake species on the island, and none of them are venomous, so no snake on Jamaica can harm you.

This snake lives in trees and warms up on rocks in the morning.  It is active at night and eats lizards, frogs, and introduced rodents on Jamaica.
