STUDENT GROUPS

PSI CHI

Psi Chi is the national honor society for Psychology students.  Nominations are automatic, based on Fall Semester enrollment.  Criteria for nomination to the MSU chapter are:

  • Completion of a minimum of 9 numerically graded Psychology credits at MSU & 36 credits
  • 3.0 overall MSU and Psychology GPA
Each year we nominate students for membership and it has recently become an active chapter at M.S.U..  Every spring semester we have an induction ceremony and election of officers.  Psi Chi and the Psychology Scholars Association are presently having joint meetings and activities, but we expect them to separate as they gain members.  We look forward to an active group of students in the coming year.  For more information, please contact Sally Grady at 353-0753 or grady@msu.edu .

PSYCHOLOGY SCHOLARS ASSOCIATION (PSA)

The PSA is the student run Psychology club.  Their purpose is to promote interaction between Psychology students, faculty, and other psychologists.  They afford opportunities for students to meet others with like interests, to meet with faculty and graduate students outside the classroom, to hear from practitioners in the community, and to volunteer actively in the community.  The experience, fellowship, and interaction are well worth your time and effort.

The PSA meets every two weeks during the school year.  Students are informed of every meeting via email.  If you have further questions about Psi Chi or PSA, please contact Sally Grady at 353-0753 or grady@msu.edu .
