Honors Advisors |
| There are also two faculty Honors Advisors, Prof. Kevin
Ford and Prof. Juli Wade. All Honors College
members should meet with one of them. More information about the Honors
Program and Honors advising can be found in the Honors section within the Current/Future Students links above. |
Role of Advisors |
| The undergraduate advisor’s primary goal is to help
undergraduate students with matters pertaining to academic progress issues
and life plans. While you are responsible for understanding University,
College, and Department requirements, advisors can provide current
information about requirements, options, and procedures. The advisors
recommend that you review your requirements with them at least once a
semester. You should understand, however, that you bear ultimate
responsibility for knowing and fulfilling graduation requirements. Stop by
the undergraduate office periodically to check the bulletin board for
announcements and to borrow relevant materials from the Undergraduate Lending
Library. The Psychology advisors want to assist you in preparing a solid
undergraduate experience. Make sure you get to know them! |
Scheduling an Appointment |
| The Psychology advisors post their available advising
times 2-3 weeks in advance. We ask that you schedule your advising session a
few weeks in advance to be sure to get an appointment. Occasionally during
peak times, advisor's appointments will all be full. If this is the case, no
appointments will appear on the system. If you need to see an advisor within
a week, please utilize the walk-in hours. You can also check regularly for
any cancellation or new openings. You can schedule an appointment with an
advisor by logging into the advisor scheduling system at: https://ntweb11.ais.msu.edu/l1101/student/applogin.asp |
Walk-in Advising |
| Walk-in advising is available every afternoon (M – F) from
1-4 in 100 Psychology Building. There may be additional hours announced
on the front page of the Undergraduate website. |
