MSU Symposium on Multicultural Psychology
Learning from the highly successful Nebraska Symposium on Motivation, the Consortium
has established the MSU Symposium on Multicultural Psychology which will consist
of an invitational conference that will eventually be published as a book. The
topic for the MSU Symposium will rotate among the various research networks and
it will be held in the Fall on a biennial basis.

Conducting Multinational Research Projects in Organizational
Psychology: Challenges and Opportunities
The goal of the symposium is to identify the best practices and
methodological lessons learned from conducting large scale multinational
projects and will feature renowned researchers as invited speakers, breakout and
discussion groups for interchange on one’s own cross-cultural research, and a
poster session.
CALL FOR POSTERS
2009 MSU Symposium on Multicultural Psychology
As part of the MSU Symposium on Multicultural Psychology sponsored by the
Consortium for Multicultural Psychology Research, a poster session showcasing
multicultural research in psychology will be held prior to the symposium. This
poster session will take place in conjunction with the reception/social hour for
the symposium (4:00-6:00 PM on October 11). To be considered for poster
presentation, please follow instructions below.
1.
Submit a 1-2 page presentation proposal, formatted as follows:
a.
Times New Roman 12-point font, 1 inch margins, single space, save as a
Word document
b.
On first line put poster title. Titles must be 12 words or less
c.
On second and third lines, list authors and their affiliations
d.
Skip one line
e.
Provide a synopsis of your presentation, including major issues or
research questions addressed, methodology, and key findings. Synposis
should be 500 words or less.
2.
Email your synopsis as an attachment to Marcy Schafer at
schafer4@msu.edu. Put “MSU Symposium
Poster Submission” in the subject line. Emails received will be
acknowledged.
3.
DEADLINE FOR POSTER SUBMISSION IS JUNE 1

Poster submissions will be reviewed and decisions to accept will be sent
no later than July 1. Detailed information on poster presentations will be
provided at the time of acceptance.
