Research Interests

My major interest are on research and intervention concerned with innovative social change. This includes concerns with individual, group, political, organizational, and societal impact. My current projects are in the areas of juvenile justice system innovation, prisoner re-entry, drug treatment in correcitonal settings, violence against women, and justice systems reform.

    I am involved with a variety of community groups surrounding issues of crime and violence. These include:

    1) local criminal justice policy councils on alternatives to incarceration

    2) local juvenile courts and county boards of commissioners on strategic planning and diversion programs

    3) state crime advisory boards on delinquency prevention programs

    4) state advisory boards on research on violence against women

    5) national advisory boards on research in crime and delinquency, including panels on criminal justice research
