Welcome to the MSU KID Lab website!  Our lab researches how children think about information in the world around them and how children seek out and evaluate knowledge throughout their development. We are interested in questions such as:

  • How do children decide where to look for answers?
  • What kinds of information do children share with other people?
  • How do children know when an answer is satisfactory?

Our research typically involves children ages 2 to 12. We are always looking for families to participate in our studies. Children who come in to the lab on the Michigan State campus receive fun prizes and a free pass to the Impression 5 Science Center.

For updates on our most current research, check out our Fall 2009 Newsletter!
