Keneesha White, LLPC, is a licensed clinical therapist currently providing community outreach services for female offender based research projects in Wayne County under the direction of Sheryl Kubiak, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Michigan State University School of Social Work. Keneesha obtained her MA in counseling from Oakland University in 2006, and her BS in criminal justice from University of Detroit Mercy in 2002. Keneesha has acquired years of experience in working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault at both the Detroit Police Department and area women’s shelters. She has also gained experience in working with the female offender population during her tenure at both Women ARISE and Project: Transition, agencies aimed at targeting the needs of female offenders. Keneesha’s continued work with these populations of women is fueled by her passion for helping to improve the quality of the lives of individuals impacted by such strenuous and unfortunate circumstances.
Throughout her employment and volunteer experiences, Keneesha has worked with the following community-based organizations:
