Katie Gregory is currently working as a research assistant under the direction of Cris Sullivan, Ph.D., MSU Department of Psychology on the ‘Developing a Violence Against Women Research Infrastructure in a Field Setting’ project, funded by the National Institute of Mental Health. Gregory received her BA in Sociology from Michigan State University in 2001 while she was working as a research assistant for Drs. Cris Sullivan and Deb Bybee on the ‘Children of Battered Women: Risks and Resiliency’ project. Upon graduation, she was hired within the Ecological-Community Psychology department as a data manager for the project ‘Evaluation of BRIDGES: A Consumer Operated Service Program’. In fall of 2002, Gregory returned to her hometown in Northern Michigan and worked for a large fruit grower cooperative as a special projects manager which included grant writing, product development, and database management. She has extensive experience working with database development, management, and training.

Community Involvement

Katie is currently working with MSU Safe Place to aid in reinstating their Court Watch program. She is helping develop a useful data tracking system to be used during the observation and recording of happenings at Personal Protection Order and criminal hearings
