My research focuses broadly on supporting workers and is frequently interdisciplinary. I study processes underlying occupational health and well-being, self-regulation, the effects of technology in the workplace, and trust. In terms of methods, I mostly conduct survey research and I tend to use SEM, including Dynamic SEM, and path analysis, multilevel modeling, and qualitative techniques. For some example projects, I have studied what concerns truck drivers hold about autonomous vehicles and how their concerns inform their career decisions, as well as how older adults’ work-related smartphone usage and scheduling autonomy relates to their well-being. At Michigan State I have mainly worked with Dr. Chu-Hsiang (Daisy) Chang and Dr. J. Kevin Ford.
