Behavioral Neuroscience

Members of this program take an integrative approach to studying the neural control of behavior with an emphasis on the hormonal and/or genetic regulation of both the structure and function of the brain.  Diverse model systems are used (including birds and mammals), as are multiple levels of analysis (molecular, anatomical, biochemical/physiological, and behavioral).  The multidisciplinary approaches are facilitated by close connections to the Department of Integrative Biology and the Neuroscience Program, both in the College of Natural Science at Michigan State University.
