McKenzie Javorka is a doctoral student in the Ecological Community Psychology program. She is broadly interested in violence against women with a focus on sexual violence. More specifically, she is interested in institutional and system responses to campus sexual assault, including universities and the criminal justice system. She is currently working under Dr. Rebecca Campbell on a grant with the Michigan State Police to address issues related to unsubmitted sexual assault kits (SAKs). She has also done research under Dr. Adrienne Adams on economic abuse in the context of intimate partner violence and coercive control.
