Diondra Straiton is a Ph.D. candidate in the Clinical Science program in the Department of Psychology at Michigan State University. She holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College in psychology and educational studies. Diondra is a certified elementary school teacher and a master trainer for an evidence-based parent coaching intervention for autism (Project ImPACT).

Diondra’s research and clinical work focus on supporting clinicians to use evidence-based practices for autistic children served in under-resourced community settings. She has extensive experience in supporting clinicians working in large, publicly funded systems in the United States, Canada, and China, including community mental health agencies, urban public schools, and early intervention systems. Her recent research projects focus on understanding which training activities in group consultation sessions are most effective at improving clinician fidelity to a parent coaching intervention delivered via telehealth to Medicaid-enrolled autistic children. Diondra is currently completing her predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Psychiatry on the Child/Developmental Disabilities track.
