Research Statement

Mental and social health specifically in late childhood through emerging adulthood. Bullying and Peer aggression in the school setting. Self-esteem, self-image, and self-deception. The effect of peers as bystanders on the bullying victim’s psyche. Peer based interventions for self-esteem, bullying, and victimization. Improving implementation of evidence based bullying prevention programs by public schools, school districts, ISDs, and RESAs.

I am currently doing research with Jenna and Zak Neal on the Michigan School Program Information (MiSPI) Project. I am also currently doing research with Eaton RESA working with their prevention services on the 4/20 Remix and PAL programs. Finally, I am currently working on a Master's Thesis centered around developing bullying prevention theory using Agent Based Models.
