  • 24/7 virtual crisis counseling is available. Students can call CAPS at (517) 355-8270 and press “1” at the prompt to speak with a crisis counselor anytime. Additional 24/7 crisis resources are available in the drop-down boxes below.

A guide to expressive writing so you can get thoughts out of your mind. Spend 5-10 minutes writing as openly as possible before or after stressful events. It frees up mental space!   A guide to distanced self talk to help regulate your emotions and problem solving. Talk to yourself in the third person can create psychological distance.A guide to breaking down mindfulness for anyone who has 5-15 minutes and is feeling anxious. You can do open or focused meditation before or after stressful events. Keep your eyes closed or relaxed.
