Dr. Culbert’s program of research broadly seeks to elucidate etiologic factors underlying risk for eating disorders and their core symptoms (e.g., binge eating) across the lifespan. Her work has a particular focus on identifying genetic, neurobiological (e.g., adrenal/gonadal hormones), and environmental factors that contribute to sex differences and developmental changes in eating disorder risk.
