ABOUT SARAH

Sarah attended MSU for her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Prior to coming to MSU, Sarah completed a few semesters at Central Michigan University and Saginaw Valley State University. As a former transfer student, Sarah has a passion for helping students transition successfully to MSU. Sarah’s undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Science, with a major in Family Community Services. Her graduate degree was a Master of Arts in College Student Affairs. While in graduate school, Sarah gained internship experience through the MSU Career office and in teaching a leadership course (EAD 315). She also had graduate assistantships in both residence life and student life. She was hired by the Psychology Department in 1999 as an advisor and has enjoyed her time working with students and faculty throughout the years.

As the Director, Sarah leads a Psychology Advising Team of 7 amazing individuals! She also serves as the Director of the Psychology Scholars Program. Sarah is married to her college sweetheart, and he also works at MSU. They have four children and four grandchildren. In her free time, Sarah enjoys playing pickleball, kayaking, traveling, watching MSU sports, and playing cards with friends.
