BIOGRAPHY
B.S., Psychology, Michigan State University, 2022RESEARCH
My research currently focuses on the molecular and circuit-level mechanisms underlying Smith-Magenis Syndrome (SMS) using diurnal grass rats as a translational model. I investigate how Rai1 haploinsufficiency disrupts circadian rhythms, cognitive performance, and metabolic functions.
Broadly, my work aims to elucidate how the circadian system interacts with neural and physiological processes to shape cognition and physiology, with the long-term goal of identifying light-based and molecular interventions for neurodevelopmental and sleep disorders using a diurnal model.
