ABOUT NOËL

As a proud TRIO alum and first-generation college graduate, Noël is passionate about increasing educational access and success for all students, especially those from historically excluded and underserved backgrounds. As a two-time college drop-out, they especially love supporting students who’ve experienced academic setbacks to turn a new leaf.

They earned their Master of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), and their Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (with a concentration in Women and Gender Studies) from the University of North Dakota. Noël discovered their passion for supporting college students while working as a Graduate Assistant and Writing Specialist for the CSUF McNair and Titan Scholars Programs. They joined MSU and began working in the Psychology department in 2022. Noël serves as Coordinator of Undergraduate Diversity Programs and is a member of the PSY Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. In their free time, they enjoy doting on their fur-babies, walking in nature, dabbling in digital photography, and exploring Michigan and Ontario.

HOW THEY CAN HELP

In addition to course and career planning, Noël particularly enjoys supporting students with:

  • Graduate school applications
  • Academic coaching and skills building
  • Getting involved in undergraduate research, summer research opportunities, and conferences
  • Returning or transferring to MSU
