Research

My research interests encompass the areas of occupational health and applied psychometrics. Under occupational health, my research interests concern the implications of emotional labor and emotion regulation for employee well-being and attitudes over time, and the mechanisms linking these outcomes. I also investigate the role of contextual factors on individual employee well-being and emotion regulation.

My second stream of research interests concern differential prediction in marginalized student populations. The aim of this research is to reduce and/or eliminate prediction bias often present in standard university admissions models through the investigation of omitted variables that strengthen university admissions, and also promote a diverse, academically rigorous institution.
