Andrew started his college career at Grand Rapids Community College and transferred to Michigan State University to complete his bachelor’s degree in English, with a minor in history and focus in secondary education. After teaching for one year, he returned to MSU to complete a master’s degree in student affairs administration - higher education, with work experiences in Residence Education and Housing, Recreational Sports and Fitness, Student-Athlete Support, and Academic Advising. Andrew has been advising at MSU for over 10 years and joined the Department of Psychology in 2022.
As a first-generation and transfer student from a small town, Andrew enjoys making connections with students, hearing their stories, and guiding them through the college and MSU experience. When not in the office, Andrew enjoys playing and watching sports (go Green!), eagerly anticipating March Madness, getting outside for runs and walks, listening to podcasts, and spending time with his family: wife Alexa, and kiddos Hadley, Callahan, and Reece.
