ABOUT RACHAEL

Rachael has been with the Psychology Undergraduate Advising team since 2018. She previously held a position with a non-profit organization focused on professional development and advocacy for early childhood education. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Michigan State University (MSU) and earned a Master of Education in College Student Affairs Leadership at Grand Valley State University (GVSU). While at GVSU, Rachael had an assistantship with the Office of Student Life focused on Service Learning and Civic Engagement and completed practicums in both academic advising and housing.

Rachael specifically enjoys working with college students to learn about resources available at our large institution and discovering strategic ways to match course enrollment with interest areas that further students’ career trajectories. Outside of work, Rachael spends as much time with family as possible, raising her two kids and two rescue dogs. For fun she gets lost in fantasy novels, enjoys going to the movies, and kayaking Michigan rivers.
