What are three words to describe yourself?

Professional, authentic, and determined

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I enjoy traveling and have an interest in visiting ancient sacred sites all over the world. This spring I’m visiting Sedona and touring several of the major energy vortexes, but I hope to take my travels international in the future. I’m also very curious about natural health and have been learning and experimenting with many natural and holistic health modalities/remedies.

How long have you been at MSU and what were your roles?

I started at MSU in the College of Nursing supporting the Research and Innovation Center in 2019 after moving back to my hometown of East Lansing from the Cleveland Ohio area. During the pandemic I moved over to the College of Social Science working for the Dean's Office supporting endowed scholarships, curriculum committee and undergraduate student affairs operations. Last year, I moved over to the department of Sociology where I worked as the unit business manager.

Why were you interested in this position?

Professional growth was my main reason for applying. Psychology is the largest and most complex unit within the College of Social Science, which I believe will allow me to expand upon my knowledge, grow and learn new things.

What are you looking forward to the most?

Learning how things work in Psychology and meeting all the people.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Traveling, walks in nature, being near the water, spending quiet time with my family and my 3 cats.

What makes you proud to work in the College of Social Science?

The people, we have the best people here!

Current book you're reading or tv/movie you're watching?

I don’t really watch TV and I like a wide array of films from sci fi, comedies, dramas and documentaries. Currently, I’m reading Toxic Superfoods by Sally Norton, I generally only read for informational purposes, boring, I know.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

Dr. Strange is my favorite Marvel character, it would be pretty cool to have those superpowers.
